If you’re looking to get a last minute bet in before the 2019 World Finals kick off in just a few hours, perhaps rolling the dice in favor of G2 Esports would be the smart move.

Heading into the Final, G2 are favored by a spread of -1.5 with a moneyline of ⅚. Essentially meaning, if you were to bet $10 on G2 to win the World Championship, you’d only win back $8.33. With that in mind, it’s safe to say that G2 are heavy favorites to walk out of Paris lifting the Summoner’s Cup.

Across from them, however, stands FunPlus Phoenix, who sports a moneyline of 10/11. So, with both teams featuring moneylines that would ultimately lose bettors money, it would be smarter to put your money on the spread.

If you were to place your bet on G2 winning the championship while also covering the spread, they’d have to win by more than 1.5 games. For you to win the bet, the final game score would have to either be a 3-1 victory or a clean 3-0 sweep. On the other end of the spectrum, if you bet on FPX, they’d either have to win the series or lose in five games for you to win.

Additionally, the over/under for how many games the series will go is 4.5. If you were to bet the under and predict that the series will go either 3 or 4 games, you would be working with odds of 10/21. However, the odds flip significantly to 33/20 if you take the over and predict a 5 game set.

Regardless, there aren’t too many scenarios where you can win money on this series as it’s genuinely regarded as too close to predict with both teams being so close to each other in so many different facets of the game. Which makes sense when you think back to the first day of the tournament when FPX and G2 sported odds of 4/1 and 5/1, respectively, to win Worlds outright.
